Bicycles – Check these ones out!

Think back to our growing years and most of us will have memories of our first bicycle. We didn’t consider it to be as momentous as when we got our first car but looking back you only have fond memories of the bicycle and the things you did with it.

Well, bicycles are making a come-back with all the health magazines screaming at people about the importance of exercise. A lot of people are going in for the Bent variety but many stick to the old favorites. You hear about people cycling to work or in their free time and yea, it’s definitely a mode of transport that doesn’t add to the growing environmental problem.

So, we want to do our bit in helping you get bicycle-mobile by telling you about two of the best bicycles – one that has already hit the stores and one that the world seems to be waiting for with bated breath.

Let’s start with the one that’s now available in stores:

montague-paratrooperMontague’s Paratrooper: If you’re wondering why it’s called that, then the answer is really simple. It has been made with paratroopers in mind. It can survive a jump from a height of 1000ft -now, don’t go trying to imitate that on your own, Paratroopers use parachutes you know. The Paratrooper is a 24-speed, regular-sized mountain bike. You can use it on any terrain cycling as fast as your legs (or your physical condition) allow and you won’t find this bicycle heating up or making any noises. Montague says it only takes 30 seconds for it fold into a 3X3 sized pack, ready to be dropped from a plane. Well, we doubt you be trying that but the ‘foldability’ will make it easier to fit into your trunk for sure. Everything about this cammy green bike spells ‘rugged.’ Take a look at it and you might just like enough to shell out $800 without a second thought.

Alberto del Biondi’s spectacular spokeless bicycle design: When I saw a picture of this bike, I was stunned into silence by its beauty. I love the mind-blowing design. The clear lines and uncluttered look instead of making it look drab have given it an uber-sleek and stylish look. And the biggest wonder is that the wheels come without spokes! How did he manage that?? The frame’s going to be made out of carbon which is flexible enough while still being a sturdy and light-weight material. It’s meant for the style conscious city bicyclist who wants to go green and healthy with as much style as possible.
